Each tile joins the next, so the whole journey can be read back from the start.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eHow it is made\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne tile of solid oak, planed, sealed with shellac and engraved with the river, the bridge and the gap where the plank should be. It is ebonised with iron and vinegar, which blackens only the engraved lines, then finished with Osmo hardwax oil.
