Story stones and story dice hand out pictures; this lays them in a path that starts with their name and ends at The End.

How it is made

Every piece is solid oak, 120 mm square and 13.5 mm thick, planed, sealed with shellac and engraved, their name in our script on the first page. Iron and vinegar ebonise the oak so only the engraved lines turn black, and Osmo hardwax oil finishes it. The magic tile, if you choose it, is purpleheart, its path, its stars and its moon gilded by hand with genuine 24ct hand-beaten gold leaf, laid on a food-safe, child-safe size straight onto the wood, with nothing over it. Every piece has an arrow joint, so any tile joins any other.

Pre-order

Made to order in our Wiltshire workshop and posted from 1 December, in time for Christmas.
