The Complete Wooden Vehicles Set
We'll engrave the name onto a little wooden tag and tie it to one of the vehicles — it can stay on, or come off and be kept. If you don't tell us which, it'll go on the crane.
Free returns within 90 days, personalised pieces too.
Lost or broken pieces replaced, for life.
Every order comes in our cotton bag, ready to give.
A Full Fleet — Built, Taken Apart, and Built Again
Specifications
Four hand-crafted vehicles, three beautiful hardwoods, one complete fleet. The Complete Wooden Vehicles Set brings together our Maple & Padauk Excavator, Padauk & Maple Trench Digger, Walnut & Maple Crane, and Walnut & Padauk Aeroplane — each one carved from solid maple, padauk and walnut with no paint, no plastic, and no plywood. What you see is the true grain and colour of the wood: creamy maple for strength, rich walnut for warmth, and naturally red padauk for a joyful pop of colour, all finished with child-safe oil.
Every vehicle arrives fully assembled with its own Allen key, so children can move seamlessly between imaginative play and purposeful, Montessori-style work. Booms pivot, buckets scoop, the cutter wheel spins, the crane hook swings, and wingtips gently tilt — real mechanics that make cause and effect obvious and satisfying. Then, when curiosity calls, they pick up the Allen key and take the whole thing apart. Tighten, loosen, rebuild. Again and again.
Bought together, the set transforms play. The Excavator loads the Crane, the Trench Digger clears a path, the Aeroplane flies in supplies — stories multiply when vehicles work as a team. Pair the fleet with blocks, a sensory tray or the Oak & Sprout Playmat for rich, open-ended STEM and practical-life play that grows with your child for years to come. Each piece is unique; grain, tone and hue vary and are just as individual as the trees they came from.
Crafted by Nature, Perfected by Hand
The Story Behind Our Woods
At Oak & Sprout, we believe every toy should have a story. That’s why we choose woods that don’t just look beautiful, but have their own natural character. For example, our vibrant Purpleheart isn’t just a colour— we had to switch to diamond-tipped blades to be able to shape one of the world’s densest woods.
Naturally Colourful, Wonderfully Unique
We never use artificial dyes. Instead, we let woods like Padauk and Purpleheart reveal their own rich hues over time. Each piece is a little bit of nature’s own artwork, making every toy one-of-a-kind.
Built to Inspire and Challenge
Toys like our Shelly Slow puzzle are crafted to be engaging again and again. We design them so that each assembly is a fresh adventure, encouraging little ones to think, explore, and build resilience—all while playing.
Want to know more?
Real engineering, four ways
Screws, axles, pivots and spinning wheels across four different vehicles give children a rich, varied understanding of how machines actually work.
Fine motor skills on every build
Each Allen key session strengthens pincer grip, wrist rotation and bilateral coordination — and four vehicles mean four times the practice.
Richer imaginative play
A fleet works together: dig a trench, lift the spoil, clear the runway, fly away — stories grow when vehicles connect.
Confidence through persistence
Disassembling and rebuilding builds patience and pride, and a full set gives children the momentum to tackle each new challenge.
Heirloom hardwoods, no plastic
Every piece is solid maple, padauk and walnut — natural colour, child-safe oil finish, and built to be passed down.

Why Real Tools Make Real Difference
Most toys do the work for children. Lights flash, sounds play, buttons get pressed. Our vehicles do the opposite — they arrive fully assembled, then invite children to take them apart. The included Allen keys are sized for small hands, and every bolt has a purpose. Children tighten, loosen, remove, reassemble. They learn that things are made of parts, and that parts can be understood.
This is practical life in the Montessori sense: real tools, real outcomes, real satisfaction. A child who has dismantled and rebuilt an aeroplane knows something a child who has only played with one does not. The vehicles are the lesson.
Three Exotic Hardwoods
Every piece is cut from exotic hardwood — chosen for its natural colour, grain, and feel. No dyes, no stains. Every colour you see is the real wood.
